It's our first time taking our little boy abroad, he's 4. Going all inclusive.

Any hints or tips would be much appreciated.

Even though it’s all inclusive, take a few familiar snacks from home.
Don’t overpack clothes - he’ll probably end up spending most of the time in his trunks. Do overpack toys and things to keep him busy, especially if he’s an early riser and you want a lie in! I’d take sticker books, search and find books, simple jigsaws (I decant the pieces into ziplock bags), aquadoodle, magnetic tiles….

Take long leg long arm swimsuits to save suncream hassle. Lots of swim gear and pool toys. And hats.

Pool toys but budget for getting an inflatable if the hotel allows them. They are serious good fun and I found them worth the money to entertain DD.

Take some things in your suitcase for the flight back. A new sticker book, magazine, book. These things are expensive in English abroad.

We insisted on siesta indoors after lunch to re-charge. We had storybooks downloaded on an old phone (used as an ipod) and DD had headphones. Also good for downloaded movies/TV. Colouring book or just pad and pencil.

Waterbottle, even if you have drinks on tab with AI, we poured still mineral water into a Chilly bottle for DD to drink from inbetween and when we were out for a trip.
