Travel Cot Recommendations - am I looking for a unicorn?!

We are going on holiday to a holiday home abroad and looking for a travel cot that will fit in a suitcase. I want a reasonably good one as we'll be leaving it out there for use over the years!

Thanks

Sorry but why does it need to go into a suitcase? Most airlines allow you to take 2 baby items for free e.g. car seat or travel cot and they usually come with a carry bag so are protected from the elements. We had a Nuna one that was great, also a Graco that was more basic. Neither would fit in our largest we’re moving half way across the world suitcases as too long.

We've already got our two items - car seat and pram - so would ideally like one that would fit in a suitcase to avoid paying extra

Could you get Amazon to deliver one there?

if not, pack into a long sausage style soft bag rather than hard suitcase

The little life arc 2. It looks like a tent rather than a traditional travel cot but it is very light and should fit in a suitcase/ could be taken on as handluggage. My son likes sleeping in his.

If the point is that you want to combine it with your existing baggage allowance and have clothes etc in there too then just get a massive bag, look for a lightweight cot so it won’t go over the weight limit then stuff away. Or just amazon order to your holiday home.

Is it your holiday home or a let? If it’s a let then I’d use theirs, it’s much of a muchness, and if it’s yours can you get one delivered?

Alternatively I’d look into car seat hire at your destination and leave the car seat in the UK, freeing up a spot for the cot.

Or how old is DC? If they’re a toddler rather than a baby you can get inflatable toddler beds with sides that are teeny- we have the Stokke Jet Kids.

Sorry ignore me, just realised it’s your own place as you mentioned leaving it there.

Depending on logistics I’d order one online to the holiday home in advance - presumably there’s someone who keeps an eye on the place when you’re not there who could take it in?
