No one can answer this for you but you 😄.

RoseRobot · 22/05/2023 18:02

Prices have rocketed.

Georgyporky · 22/05/2023 18:03

Depends on the country, but £1000 pp pw sounds reasonable to me.
However, your budget of £60 pp pd for lunch, dinner & drinks seems a bit low

GeraltsBathtub · 22/05/2023 18:03

Seems fine to me if you can afford it. Tbh you’d probably not pay less for a break in the UK.

Plump82 · 22/05/2023 18:04

Because it includes your spending money for food and drinks then I think that's pretty reasonable.

MessyBunny · 22/05/2023 18:04

Sounds slightly low to me for the spending money. I don’t think you’ll be able to get two meals out plus drinks etc for just over £100 per day.

Hbh17 · 22/05/2023 18:05

Well nobody can answer that, because there is such a huge range of options that could be covered by "a week in the sun". It seems cheap to me, but others would find it costly. If YOU can afford it, and want to go, then it's not too much.

FlounderingFruitcake · 22/05/2023 18:06

I wouldn’t expect to get 2 decent meals and drinks out for £115 per day. So on that basis I’d say it sounds low.

shivawn · 22/05/2023 18:07

£1200 plus spending money for a week away sounds good to me! Hard to get it for much less now.

AnnWithoutAnnie · 22/05/2023 18:07

How can anyone answer that?

we don't know where you're going? What you're eating. What you're drinking?

any budget for sight seeing/entertainment?

marshmallowsforbreakfast · 22/05/2023 18:09

I think your spending money sounds low

cocksstrideintheevening · 22/05/2023 18:18

Sounds cheap to me

Takeitonthechin · 22/05/2023 18:21

Your money, you can always bring it home if you do t spend it

snorach · 22/05/2023 18:27

Thanks, going to one of the Cyclades. (Greece). Eating out is cheap there, plus we will make a baguette or something for lunch on some days etc.

OP posts:
MessyBunny · 22/05/2023 18:30

The baguette plan sounds good as that would then leave about £100 per day for dinner, drinks activities etc.

Huntler · 22/05/2023 18:35

If you've got the money and want it, do it. Holidays are expensive rn. If you've found one that suits you and can afford it, book it. Just think of that lovely warm med and nice wee tavernas. You're a long time dead.

snorach · 22/05/2023 18:43

Yes, have the money. But always feel guilty that I could be saving it instead

OP posts:
FloweryName · 22/05/2023 18:44

No, it’s not too much.

gettingolderbutcooler · 22/05/2023 19:15

I'm paying £2200 for a weeks all inclusive for 2 adults and 2 teens in half term. Turkey.

Namechangedforthis25 · 22/05/2023 19:17

Def not too expensive

good plan on the baguettes!!!

Huntler · 22/05/2023 19:19

@snorach saving it for what?

Obviously if buying this holiday means you don't have a spare £100 anywhere to cope with unexpected expenses then yeah it's not a good idea. But if it's a case of slightly less money in the savings that you can afterwards top up then do it.

snorach · 22/05/2023 20:00

No no, will have a small rainy day fund. It’s more that we’ve spent a lot of money on repairs/furniture etc. But I will be returning to work again in July so looking to get a break in before it counts as part of my annual leave.

OP posts:
mondaytosunday · 22/05/2023 20:34

I think your daily spend is too low.

countdowntonap · 22/05/2023 21:13

Sounds like an absolute bargain to me! Where in the Cyclades are you going?

Magenta65 · 22/05/2023 21:15

1 week all inclusive in Tenerife is costing us £1850 as a couple. Will likely take £500 each as we don’t like to be short on holiday. Yours sounds reasonable holidays have rocketed this year, last year £1050pp got us 2 weeks all inclusive. Impossible to find a holiday of the same standard this year
