I want to treat my dsis and bil who sold my car for me when we left for Kenya to a surprise meal without my nephew, does anyone have any recommendations in or near the Bramhall area of Manchester?

What sort of food do they like? and how much do you want to spend?

There are loads listed on this website

The ones I've been to are Olivers, just down the road in Woodford, Beluga and Graze. All nice.

r if they are willing to travel 15 minutes into Manchester then The Lime Tree and Greens (home of the fabulous Simon Rimmer) are across the road from each other in West Didsbury, also Jemini is in Didsbury.

Greens and The Lime Tree are both fantastic IMO.

Whenever I go I make sure I sit where I can see into the kitchen so I can watch Simon at work.........yummy

and you can take your own wine!

That's great both of you thanks.

I think they like pretty much anything but are probably more on the conservative, european side. I was hoping to spend about £70 - is that reasonable do you think? We are a bit out of touch

I've googled both and think the Lime Tree looks like their kind of thing, and they do gift vouchers, I even have a feeling they may have taken me there once. Is Didsbury Footballer land?

If they are on the more conservative side then I'd opt for The Lime Tree or Olivers. If they are more into a place where the beautiful people hang out then Beluga would be better - and yes £70 would be good.

I could spend that in The Lime Tree, no worries, sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream - divine!

Didsbury is more 'sleb off the Tv' land - Richard and Judy used to live there, Paul Heaton from The Beautiful South lives there as does John Thompson - and I used to

for footballers you need to head out to Alderely Edge or Hale Barns...if you like that kind of thing!

Lime Tree is a good option - fab service too. I'd love it if someone bought me vouchers for there, so a good choice!

I've just looked at Beluga and I definitely went there with them, i remember dd throwing lots of pasta about (they were childless at the time ). I think I will go for the Lime Tree.

You have been so helpful, thanks a million.
