Which Garden/Park in Paris?

We're heading to Paris with the MIL and 2 kids in September for just 2 nights. Day 1 we'll be doing the Eiffel Tower and perhaps Sacre Coeur - but I'd love to visit one of the city parks/green spaces on the second day, maybe for a picnic and a wander to get away from the traffic.

Where would you recommend? They all look amazing!

I've been looking at

Jardin des Plantes
Le Jardin du Luxemburg
Jardin des Tuileries

Thanks!

I love Luxembourg it's so pretty. Good for big walks. But if you want a play park go to Tuileries, much better.

Tuilleries.

It is possible to walk from the Eiffel tower past the Arche de Triomphe down the Champs Elysees, throught Tuilleries past the louvre then down the Seine to Notre Dame (what's left of it).

Luxembourg is more of a locals park and in the Tuileries you get many tourists. I’d say Luxembourg is preferred.

sit in the iconic Parisian green chairs and enjoy

Jardin d'Acclimation is lovely. You could spend hours there. Mini zoo, play park, water park, lakes, fairground attractions and rides (these can add up €).

The jardin de Luxembourg is lovely and much more used by Parisians than some of the others - personally it's my favourite. The statues of all the queens are also very pretty.

Definitely the Luxembourg, it's a really lovely garden with play areas. The walk from the Arche de Triomphe down the Champs Elysees, through Tuilleries, where you could have a picnic to the louvre and on Notre Dame is a good one (it's a straight line) but I'm not sure I'd do it from the Eiffel Tower.

If your only there for two nights I wouldn't bother with the Jardin d'Acclimation

If you just want some peace and quiet for a picnic https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=jardin+rue+babylon&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari#
Jardin Catherine-Labouré is very quiet. You can get a picnic at La Grande Épicerie de Paris around the corner. I think there is a bus directly there from close to the Eiffel Tower.

Buttes Chaumont is a quirky park with grottos and waterfalls.

There is also Parc Monceau which used to have a merry go round in it.

Luxembourg, we rented a little toy boat to sail - no kids with us!

We loved the Luxembourg Gardens with the kids (my DC were 5, 8 and 9 at the time). It felt so French and we loved the boats, the ponies and the playpark. We then did Eiffel that evening to enjoy the lights, it was a fun day.

We also did Jardin des Plantes another day. The kids enjoyed the zoo, I did not enjoy the rats (a big problem in Paris but particularly bad round the aviaries).

Parc Monceau still has the merry go round. It’s a lovely local park.
