Buggys on board Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airline instructions say that buggys can be taken to the aircraft for infants, but they are also listed as potential weapons, alongside baseball bats, and so listed as an item to go in the hold!!

We are travelling late at night - 11.30pm departure - and so I was hoping to have our four year old - child, not infant officially - in a buggy up to the gate.

Any one got any experience of whether it is a hard and fast rule or flexible at all?

I would have thought that they would let you take the buggy to the gate and then it goes into the hold. It is pretty standard. I have only been allowed to keep the buggy on board once when the plane was empty and they put it behind a row of empty seats. Loads of people take buggys for small children .

Did this at Christmas with Singapore Air. Buggy fine up to gate, then they give it back to you right by the aircraft exit - before baggage reclaim. They will not let you take it on as hand luggage, no matter how small it is (we bought Quinny zapp hoping they would let us, but no need!)

Yup, you can take buggy up to gate with Singapore Airlines and then they will have it waiting for you as soon as you get off the plane. They are lovely with kids, just lovely .
