Easyjet holidays experience

Anyone ever booked with easyjet holidays before? Good or bad experiences? I usually use jet2 but my friend wants us to book somewhere with easyjet holidays but others have warned me against using them due to bad communication and being allocated less desirable rooms compared to jet2 and tui.

I didn’t think they did holidays just flights and hotel booked together? You can add transfers and meals etc but you can just book those yourself.
We did Rhodes with them and it was fine and cheaper than buying separately. Got our own taxi from the airport to the hotel. Decent room ( you could chose to upgrade rooms to balcony or whatever).
I find BA hotel plus flights better because it’s cheaper to take hold luggage than Easyjet.

I've done two. It was fine.

I did one last October and it was really good. No issues at all.

They do packages now.

I haven’t used them but would without hesitation. I know plenty of people who have without any issues.

but then I’m very happy to book with on the beach or love holidays. I always look at tui and jet2 but just can bring myself to pay so much extra for just slightly (maybe) better service and a bit more spoon feeding.

We used them last year for a package for Turkey. Had a really great experience with them. Was cheaper than the same holiday with competitors, the transfer at the airport was smooth and waiting for us when we landed, generous luggage allowance, room and terms exactly as expected. Plane fine. We had to buy our refreshments and pay extra to book our seats but thats pretty normal. First plane ran on time, second coming home was delayed nearly two hours but that's life. The staff at the turkish airport brought us through as one of the first when we finally did start boarding as the baby was getting a little cranky, they were very understanding. Would definitely use them again!

Georgyporky · 23/04/2023 10:51

Had several holidays with them, everything fine. They don't have reps abroad like Jet2, but that's why they're cheaper.

Ylvamoon · 23/04/2023 10:55

I've done city breaks with them- not had any problems or shabby rooms with them.

gettingolderbutcooler · 23/04/2023 10:55

Doing an AI with easyjet for first time this year.

The hotel is the same used by many other travel companies, so nothing dodgy there. And easyjet was a lot cheaper than the same holiday with Thomas cook etc.

The flights are at our nearest airport and a great time, so that swayed us too.

The main selling point is that we could cancel right up until close to the departure date.

FettleOfKish · 23/04/2023 10:57

I've worked in travel / tour operation / hotels all my life and the concept of rooms being allocated according to where the booking came from is something I have simply never ever come across in reality.

Direct bookers who've paid full rack rate might be more likely to get an upgrade if there's one available, but honestly no hotel reservations department has the time or energy to sit there moving easyJet people into worse rooms than Jet2 people.

MrsHamlet · 23/04/2023 10:58

I did, at Easter.
The hotel I'd booked then suddenly wasn't available - EasyJet contacted me, told me what had happened, and had already rebooked me into another (better, more expensive) hotel for the same price.
I could have cancelled for a full refund.
I was dubious, but it was perfect.

tapdancingmum · 23/04/2023 11:03

I've just paid our balance to them for a holiday in June. In previous years I've booked through LoveHolidays but have found the same package through Easyjet but for a cheaper price. Oh, not quite exactly the same as by booking direct we have a better luggage allowance each and transfers are included.

BlueisthenewGrey · 23/04/2023 11:18

We booked to go to Turkey, everything was great until the plane to collect us didn't arrive. All communication through text, no staff at the airport, no one answering calls and abandoned in Turkey. It cost us £1000 to get home, they only refunded us £250 and refused the rest of the claim. When things go wrong, they are the worst and I will never use them again.

If they hadn't abandoned us, I would have been raving about them, but you get what you pay for and they have really bad customer service.

Lykia · 23/04/2023 11:27

I use both and they're much of a muchness. In fact I've just come back from an EJ package which went swimmingly smooth with great flight time.

I'm going on a package with J2 in May as EJ didn't have any availability for the hotel we wanted.

In the summer I'm back with EJ as the prices and flight time were better.

To me it makes no difference apart from sitting on a different plane. They both take me to where I want to go.

Minervia · 23/04/2023 16:53

We went to Tenerife last summer on an easyJet holiday..it was loads cheaper than jet2. We had no problems, the flights, transfers and hotel were perfect. We emailed the hotel directly to ask for a particular room and got it. I think like pp said it's when things go wrong where they fall down. We had no reps and only text messages about pick ups. All was fine for us but I can see that it could easily be a problem if things weren't right

Sorryyoufeelthatway · 23/04/2023 17:15

Love them. Much cheaper than Tui for the same holiday. They also provide lots of choices regarding room grades. So pay for the one you want.

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 23/04/2023 18:16

I've booked for this summer. It was £££ cheaper than anyone else. Pleased to see the mainly positive feedback on this thread.

0Juzzi · 12/03/2025 11:17

BE WARNED!!! We already know, but just a reminder…Eadyjet are rip-off artists & shysters. Booked flight, added/PAID FOR hold luggage, decided to swap hold luggage for windsurf bag, couldn’t do it in-app so phoned them. Was told no, there’s no option to swap/refund bag, I have to add/PAY FOR 2nd bag also. Frickn thieves. DONT USE sleazyjet!!! TUI also fly!

ILoveWillSmith · 12/03/2025 11:24

I've been on half a dozen EasyJet packages -same hotels as TUI and Jet2 but considerably cheaper. Once had an issue with our room, WhatsApped them, they sent a rep to see us and sorted out the issue within 2 hours. Never had any other issues at all. I will definitely book with them again.

BG2015 · 12/03/2025 19:05

Went to Turkey last year with EasyJet Holidays and it was great. £400 each cheaper than TUI for the exact same holiday

Eastmeetswest1 · 13/03/2025 07:13

We've been twice with them and perfect births times. Cheaper as well for same hotel. Transfers were waiting for us and this year we paid for a private taxi - again it was waiting for us. On way home you get a text the day before telling you when your will get picked up. Perfect both times.

Hippywannabe · 13/03/2025 07:17

Used them many times, no issues so far.
