Anyone done Mark Warner? Is it worth the £££?

We have a 14 year old ds, we noticed last summer on our usual beach /hotel holiday thathe was a bit lonely and bored. He's the type of boy to make friends in an organised activity, but wouldnt just approach other teens informally. So this year we think we need to do a holiday with organised stuff for him, we still want a beach though for us! Any recommendations would be great, I've been looking at Mark Warner they do look good but wow very expensive! I will pay it though if it's worth the money.
I also looked at Club med - and nealy passed out at their prices!

If you are looking for an active holiday that suits people of different ages

club La santa

We did one once but the children were smaller and they seemed to be wanting to push us into the crèche and child activity days. We did a bit but we'd come on holiday with them! There were water sports aimed at all ages which was great.

Also the food was very good but as it was AI we ended up not going out to eat as much as we might have otherwise, so I wouldn't go AI again

Another one to recommend tui magic life fuerteventa - there were so many activities to join and it was a lovely spaced out hotel (none of the usual overcrowded AI feel. We were there last summer and have booked again for this summer

I’m interested in MW, Neilson and Club Med type holidays as the DC are getting to any age where I think they’d enjoy it (older primary). Are the resorts all pretty similar or do they vary in quality?
adrift - I like the look of Club Med. Any of their resorts stand out? I’ve been looking at the Mauritius ones.

The MW resorts seem to have different eating options in different resorts, the Lemnos one seems to be half board, but some have all inclusive options. I think for me it also depends on whether there are local places to eat out within walking distance.

If you are looking at long haul Mauritius is amazing, one of my favourites is Les Bouccaniers in Martinique. Both very French and incredible settings.I DO NOT rate La Caravelle.Nightmare in summer holidays.

Europe Kemer is lovely, Gregolimano in Greece, they are all great tbh. Tunisia not a favourite.

Any in Morocco are fabulous... great way to see the country.

Food is wonderful!

At the moment Neilson are coming up as more expensive than MW, it might be because we need a seperate room or area for ds as he's 14 and obviously doesnt want to be in a room with us!

We went to limnos with Neilson and the boys had an interconnected room . Great holiday. Cannot remember name of the resort though.

Lemnos !

I ADORE Lemnos!

We first went there when DD was 3-4, last time when she was 16.

There's a bar within walking distance but the best things to do is take the short taxi trip to Myrina - lovely town, lots of bars & restaurants.

Be warned - our DD much preferred hanging out with the other teenagers than coming into Marina with us!

If you do go to Lemnos - George the hotel manager is great !
