Travel with 3 month and 3 year old

My partner is very luckily to have paternity leave when our baby will be 3 months old.
We are keen to go away for 2-3 weeks. Does anyone have any itinerary suggestions? We are keen to explore rather than staying in one place! We also have a 3 year old.
Ideally would keep the costs down as much as possible! Were planning for mid-end September/early October.

in the UK? abroad? what kind of budget? what do you like doing?

with a 3mo, I would do a UK driving-self catering option with 2 locations in nice towns or by a beach.

Need more information on what you like doing and how much cash you have. When you say explore do you mean wander round a city or travel through the jungle.

Ideally abroad....likely Europe across a few countries.
USA would be good but might be easier to avoid a long expensive flight!
Happy to stay in cheap accommodation/private room in hostels, buy food from the supermarkets to eat.
Money wise i have no idea how much yet, maybe £2500 for all of us with everything included, although not sure how realistic that is! Cheap as possible really!

That’s easy then just drive under the channel and head for Italy or Germany or wherever you enjoy. With a toddler at heel I wouldn’t go anywhere that the nightlife is the draw but otherwise it’s just the same as before with a bit of pool/beach thrown in

I wouldn't book flights or plan to go abroad in case baby can't travel (you might need to allow 10-12 weeks for their passport given the strikes and backlogs)

I'd do a UK road trip around Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. It'll be quieter in Sept but still good weather and your toddler can do all the beaches, rockpools, Eden Project, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge etc etc. Maybe a ferry to scilly isles if you can book last-minute.

Ohh thank you. Very good point about the passports, will need to be on it!
