Cruises - which company

Hi.
I'm looking to book a European cruise for my mum as a treat but have fallen at the first hurdle!
Which company do I book with?

She has been on a few cruises previously but all with Tui (Morella?) and always all-inclusive.
Would any wise cruisers be able to rank companies for me in order of 'niceness'?
I'm thinking that Tui probably aren't that high up?
Thank you!

Been on a few niche music cruises in the Caribbean.

Nile cruise? Did one, on a Dahabiya from Luxor to Aswan. Small local company run by an English woman married to one of the captains/owners (family company). It was amazing.

Can't remember the name of the company but googling came up with this, to give you an idea.

I'm currently on a Princess cruise, in San Francisco at the moment and loving it, first time on Princess having previously been on 3 different MSC cruises which I loved too.

It's not crowded and the entertainment is fantastic.

I booked it last summer 6 nights on board including all meals, entertainment, drinks package, crew tips and wifi staying in an inside cabin was only €961.

First time in an inside cabin and it's fine as we're only in it to sleep and get ready for dinner. We're sleeping better as there's no light getting in. Always had a balcony before but when at sea or in some ports it's too windy to sit out on the balcony.

You’re on my bucket list cruise!! I’m desperate to do a Californian cruise and Princess are my favourite line. I’ve priced it up and the cruise is very reasonable but the flights aren’t so not sure when we’ll be able to go, probably when the kids leave home 🙈 Hope you’re enjoying living my dream 😁

I know it’s a late addition but I would look at Viking for a quality cruise with your parents. Your budget is good so you can look at quality. If they prefer the idea of a smaller ship, look at Azamara and Oceania, O is especially good for food.

We are Tui all the way.

We have done Disney, Princess and P&O. I would avoid P&O. The app system to book restaurants, spa, activities and entertainment wasn't fit for purpose. It was chaos and really stressful having to spend hours trying to book a seat somewhere. Never again.

In Astoria today, this cruise has exceeded our expectations. Couldn't find fault anywhere.
