We live in Devon so bored of Cornwall. Looking to explore other interesting places in the UK ideally that are dog friendly. We also have a teenager.

Would definitely echo others saying snowdonia then. Lots of great stuff to do, including climbing Snowdon if that's your thing.

Argyle and Bute, with a couple of city breaks - Newcastle and Glasgow on the way.

Plenty of water, castles and ferries to the islands. Stunning.

We’re in Devon and visit Cornwall a lot, I don’t mind as I love it. We’re regular visitors to Pembrokeshire as well as DH is from there and his parents live there. It is lovely but we find it more expensive for accommodation than Cornwall as there is less choice. It is a great area with stunning beaches and wildlife. Great boat trips for wildlife spotting.

We had a great holiday in the Lakes stopping at Blackpool Big Blue hotel for the Pleasure Beach and Sandcastle fun pool.

Dorset is amazing. Second Northumberland/Whitby. Loads to do and the beaches are beautiful.
New forest? We are going in May and it looks brilliant....can also do a day trip to the Isle of Wight from there.

If you could manage without beaches/the sea, you could look at the West Midlands, there's loads of 'holiday stuff' to do in the area and it's closer than a lot of other places. There's Cannock Chase forest for mountain biking, Go Ape, walks etc. Alton Towers, also Shropshire Hills, Ironbridge gorge, Black Country Living Museum, safari park and Birmingham city for museums/city stuff.

Ambleside & Keswick in the Lake District are lovely towns and both very dog friendly. The scenery is stunning.

Loved Pembrokeshire so much, returning for a week in June. Amazing beaches and coastal path if the weather is kind.

If you went up the coast to Cardigan Bay it is a bit cheaper to rent a hol cottage, especially if you can find a property a bit inland. (assuming you have a car)

another vote for northumberland. Or Anglesey.

closer to you, Pembrokeshire.

Southwold. So pretty and old fashioned, and if you fancy something more tacky / typical seaside ish there’s Yarmouth up the coast.

My teen likes theme parks and being outdoors. Not one for laying on the beach but likes being active. Will definitely look at Wales and maybe an air b and b. Would ideally like to take the dog unless we can find boarding.

We live in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Very dog friendly, lovely walks both in and outside the Peak District national park, cycle hire easy and popular on the local off road trails and easy access to Alton Towers (it's about 10 minutes from here). Sounds like it ticks all your boxes.

Somewhere where you can hire mountain bikes and ride the trails maybe? Like coed y brenin (just S of Snowdonia). And/or somewhere you can hire kayaks?
