Planning 10 days in Italy. Rough intinarybas below but any thoughts would be amazing. Also any tips/suggestions/must see stuff. We are flying into Pisa and will have a car. Just DP and I… into food wine and wandering. Not massively into museums or touristy stuff… just wandering and chilling 😂

Bologna - 2 nights
Florence - 3 nights (could shorten to 2?)
Tuscan farm stay possibly San Gimignano - 5 nights.

Could shorten Florence and San G and squeeze a couple of days in Siena?

Any suggestions for farm stay would be appreciated, ideally somewhere we could walk into town so no cabin fever, although wouldn’t be a massive issue if shortened to 3 nights.

Torn between wanting to see EVERYTHING but also not feeling like we spend 10 days driving/unpacking and packing

Many thanks

Love San Gimignano. Stayed in a beautiful agriturismo a few miles out, overlooking the towers. If you are doing a farm stay you'll need a car but you can visit lots while based there if you don't mind driving a bit. We did a day trip to Sienna and drive round the villages in Chianti. If you want to travel only by public transport you'd be better off with more central accommodation.

Any hotel recommendations for Lucca or San Grimigiano? Thank you

We really liked Hotel Ilaria in Lucca - I'd definitely go back. Friendly, comfortable, lovely position by the wall, good breakfasts,

Just back from a little hamlet in the hills near Lucca.

Agree with the earlier comment about David at the Academia, it's incredibly beautiful.

Our teens climbed the dome, it was €30 each -they loved it. You need to book all museum trips and the Dome well in advance.

Did the Uffizi last year - loved it!

We had pizza here, 2 years running - very good!

Depends where you are coming from but we did the park and ride at Villa Constanza, really cheap and easy to get right into the centre of Florence.

Tuscany trip. Any advice welcome

Agree with PP, Lucca is lovely. Also liked Siena more than Florence.

Apparently Cinque Terre is amazing, but not been myself.
