One day at Disney Land Paris

My partner, 2 year old daughter and I are going to be in Paris for a wedding in June and have one extra day before going home. We have already factored in the sightseeing that we think we would like to do, so thought it’d be nice to have a day at Disney for our little one. My questions are, is there much point in going for a day? As she’s little I’m guessing we won’t be able to go on loads of rides anyway. And does anytime know what the queues are like midweek at that time of year? Thanks!

Definitely worth going! Just head to fantasy land and do all the princess
/dumbo/fairytale rides she'll love it!

Yes, definitely. You probably wouldn't want to do more than that at her age.

We went when my youngest was 2. There were loads of rides they could go on (much more that they could go on than couldn't go on, in fact).
Absolutely worth it. Go on the Disneyland Paris website - it'll show you the height restrictions for each ride and also advise if any will be out for maintenance when you're due to visit.
You'll have a fab day!

Definitely worth doing for a day with a child that age. You'll have lovely photos to look back on, and you can plan a longer trip when DC is a few years older if you all enjoy it.

Thanks everyone - great to hear that it’s worth doing!

It is worth doing for a day - there is a lot to see and do and you'll be amazed at what you can get through in one day.

Make sure you only get tickets for the main park - you won't have time for the studios too. You can download an app which tells you which gives queue times of rides - super useful.

The Disney website has a calendar which shows the amount of guests they're anticipating - it's usually for guests who use the hotels, but will give you an idea of how busy it'll be. Obviously weekends will be busier.

It's worth calculating the time it takes you to travel from where you're staying. It's about an hour from central Paris - but thankfully there is a train inside the park.

Hope that helps!

There's plenty of rides for little ones and the queues aren't as bad as the rollercoasters etc. there's shows too. Mine loved it at 18 months and 3, except dd was scared stiff of Mickey Mouse having our photo taken at the entrance. It will be busy though

Get to the park as soon as it opens, do as many rides as you can before lunchtime when it gets busy, then watch the parades in the afternoon

Marie248 · 13/03/2023 21:55

Wow lots of great tips! Thank you!
Do you think it will be busy even on a Tuesday or Wednesday?

They're usually the quietest days, but you should check it's not a French school holiday.
Use the calendar on here to see what they'd be expecting

My children have been at similar ages:
DS - 18mths, 24mths and 4yrs.
DD - 15mths.

There are literally only a handful of rides a 2-yr old can't ride. They'll be able to do 90% of the rides, all the shows, characters, parades, Illuminations. You could definitely have a "nice day" but honestly a day isn't even close to being long enough and you'll barely scratch the surface. There are two parks there plus Disney Village. A day will allow you to do lots in one of the parks but that's it.

We would say 4nt minimum stay to do it justice and you'll still miss stuff.
We have 3 further trips booked this year. 2 x 4 days and a five day.

Since Covid the parks arre busy every day but midweek will be the quietest (though still very busy).
