Just that really! We'll be flying for 5 hours at the end of the month with a 6 year old and 10 month old. 6 year old is easily pleased for that long but 10 month old is going to be a bit more difficult! We've bought little ear defenders and there will be milk on tap, but just looking for any other tips people might have :)

Try to get the front row bulkhead seats, as these will give you more room. If you can’t, think about whether an aisle seat or window seat would best suit your needs. A window seat may be best if you want to bf on the flight, as you will have more privacy and won't be knocked into by people walking through the aisle.
To ease the pressure discomfort in the ears when landing and taking off, it is a good idea to allow them to feed or suck on a dummy.
It can get quite chilly on a plane with the AC on, so take a hat, some warm socks and extra layers for your baby.
Consider babywearing for checking in and waiting around for your flight.
One of the last things you should do before boarding is a quick nappy change so you don’t have to do unnecessary changes on the flight. Maybe put and overnight nappy on your LO so that you can buy yourself a little more time as they can hold more liquid.
Always check with a flight attendant to ask if your nearest toilet has a changing table if you strike out. I often even ask as I’m boarding or during the drink service so I don’t head for the wrong one in a time of need!
Have a small “to go” nappy kit so you don’t need to take your huge bag to the toilet.

I'm also travelling with a 10 month old and a 6 year old at the end of this month for 5 hours! If you do manage to secure seats at the front lots of airlines have bassinets, technically 10 months old is too big for it but I used it for my daughter and when she was 1 years old and she just slept with her legs bent and was very comfortable the whole flight.
