Eurocamp

I wondered if anyone that has been on a Eurocamp holiday could share what it was like & additional costs please? I'm looking at the south of France, just myself and my 10 year old son. How do you go about food, do you shop locally for it? Is it expensive? I'm really keen but just have a few reservations. Thank you.

Most are near a supermarket so fairly cheap once you're there.

Because it's self catering what you spend is really down to what you want to spend on things like eating out, treats, day trips etc.

Last year we went for just under a week and spent most days in the camp so little was spent on excursions etc. none of the sites I've been on have a cost for slides though there might be for some of the things like trampolines etc

Most days we eat breakfast in the cabin and then either lunch or dinner out - so most days would be 2 of the 3 meals self catered.

Pack the freezer with ice lollies etc - if you're on site it's usually easy enough to run back and crab some rather than buying them in the shop.

I'd usually get fresh bread in the site shop each morning but I do a biggish shop off site in the day of arrival

With euro camp be aware you need to either bring your own bed linen and towels or else rent a linen pack. I couldn't justify the cost. I usually bring old sets and leave them there or even pick up one in a charity shop.

We're going to south of France in may. Can't wait!

I just wondered whether the duvets are okay for double sets as have just read needs to be queen size? Thank you very much.

Shops on sites will be pricier. We've taken to visiting local supermarkets and bringing onto site. We bbq most evenings.

Some sites will have eating options; reservations may be required. The sites where we've stayed the food is nothing special and yes probably pricier.

It's very site specific I'm afraid.
