looking for help with above. Not caravans but any park with lodges that as a minimum has a pool and is also near a sandy beach suitable for 7 year old girls. Anyone who has been somewhere nice in any of these places would love to hear from you please

Ladram Bay is excellent. It’s got so much to do onsite including rock climbing, crazy golf and a splash park. The main restaurant does good food and is reasonably priced. The park has direct beach access (sand and shingle).
Another good option is Landguard on the Isle of Wight. Most of the accommodation is in caravans, but there’s a decent choice of self catering lodges which get much better reviews (8 or 9 out of 10) and are worth a look if you like the location and facilities. Landguard is in Shanklin which is a classic bucket-and-spade resort. The park is about 20 minutes walk to the beach, so there’s no sea view, but it’s a very well-equipped site with an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, shop and playground. There’s also a busy schedule of kids entertainment and sports, if that’s your sort of thing.

We stayed at The Lakes Rookery and it was honestly one of my favourite holidays ever, and I've been abroad a lot. Not necessarily near a beach as such but beaches are easily accessible. We had a 3 bed lodge with hot tub and I wanted to live there 😅

Landguard or Lower Hyde has some lovely lodges/chalets. They get booked very quickly though x

Twinsgranny · 28/02/2023 19:45

Thanks, grateful for all suggestions. I know that Languard and Lower Hyde are near each other and interchangeable for facilities, which is nearer beach please and which beach is at of the Shanklin ones? Thank you

Landguard/Lower Hyde are connected and similar distance to the beach. Lower Hyde is slightly closer. The beach is just Shanklin beach, not sure if there is another name. They are also very close to Sandown pier x

Beverley Holidays at Goodrington, Paignton. Great facilities on site and the English Riviera has 22 miles of coastline with superb beaches - plenty of watersports and boat rides to see the wildlife, including dolphins and seals

On the aisle of Wight has anyone been to Nodes Point Holiday Park? Thanks! Going to have a better look at Devon now. Thank you Broadsheetbabe for Paignton suggestion.

Agree with Lower Hyde/Languard (we prefer Lower Hyde). The chalets are small, but well equipped and comfortable. It's a nice walk to Shanklin beach from there. The beach is nice, the old village pretty and Shanklin Chine is worth a visit. Sandown beach is a short car/bus ride away.

Twinsgranny I’ve been to nodes point. Whilst we enjoyed it the nearest beach is a shingle beach. You will need to drive to places from there as it’s quite rural. Lovely countryside though. The pool was quite nice from memory. Easy to travel around the isle of white with a car.

If you go to Nodes Point make sure you pick newer lodges the older are tired as is the pool and pub restaurant .The beach is shingle but nice and rural . I would chose Nodes over the other parks on the Island . Sandown and Shanklin are both quite tired and neither park is that well located . Anywhere on the island is a pretty easy drive by Mainland standards . I personally like Ventnor and Seaview .

Hoburne Naish on the edge of the New Forest has some lovely lodges and luxury park homes. You can walk down to the beach from it. Its on the Dorset/Hampshire border.
