If you like/love Disney World where else do you like to go?

We wanted to go back to Disney world next year but costing it up & the increases are shocking - car hire last year was £269, dates were looking at its +£800 😫

So we want to look at alternatives but not sure where to start! Ideally 2 weeks towards the end of the summer holidays, busy days and the odd pool/beach day.

We've just done a week all inclusive and whilst it was nice it's not really for us, we want something a bit busier.

Have you looked at a Disney cruise? I was pleasantly surprised by the prices (though didn't look at August).

A week at Duinrell and then another week at Beekse Bergen (with day trips to Efteling). Alternatively, PortVentura World in Spain.

I was so hoping to come back to this thread and find loads of suggestions! We also love a busy holiday.
Did you have any other ideas @ChimChimeny ?

Dd is a huge WDW lover. We've been lots of times but also like to vary our holidays so we aren't returning to the same place over and over too much. She's now 20y and about to spend the summer at WDW doing their college program.

Have you been to any of the other Disney parks? We've been to California and Japan (as well as France.) Covid meant we couldn't go to,Hong King and China, but will do one day.

We try to build a theme park day or two into some of our holidays, even if not Disney. Especially when dd was younger. As an only child it benefited us too as it meant some days were then completely busy and dd was happy. So we've added a day at Universal into trips to California, Singapore and Japan. A trip to Ferrari world in Abu Dhabi on a stop over day when travelling to Malaysia. A trip to a theme park in Germany in a France/Germany holiday, etc.

We like to be fairly busy in most holidays so plan places to go and see, and like multi centre trips too which then increases the variety - with the added bonus of making a 2 week holiday feel like you're away even longer.

In recent years we've been going East more. The prices to go to the US have steadily increased and we get a lot more for our money flying East - better hotels for less money, flights more reasonable, cheaper to eat well when there, etc.
