Do all two year old's have to pay the same as an adult fare?

if so, what a shocker... I should have gone on holiday loads more times when ds was 1!!!

I'm thinking of visiting some friends in Canada (Vanvouver/Calgary) in April/May but the flights are coming up at £500 for me and £450 minimum for him.

Are there any airlines which give you "proper" discounted fares for toddlers?

Thanks

No not as far as I know. I think they are slightly cheaper because of tax but in the airlines defence I guess they still take up a seat, have a meal, have a luggage allowance etc. It becomes an expensive business once they hit 2 doesn't it!!

I haven't found any airlines doing reductions for 2yr olds which has totally restricted our travel plans this year. You might find some children go free package deals but I don't suppose that'll help much with Canada. Let us know if you do!!

It depends on the airline. The cheaper airlines charge a flat fee for anyone ages 2 and over.

The difference between adult and child fares on other airlines are very often very small we have found.
