Tips for Disneyland Paris with a 6 month old

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can give any tips on don't Disneyland Paris with a 6 month old please?

We are going as part of a big family holiday which was planned before baby was known about so no option for another destination. I am looking forward to taking her 😊 but just wondering if anyone with experience has any handy tips?

She will be about 3 weeks into weaning at the time (currently bf) so any tips on that front would be welcome too.

We've been before with 4+ years olds but not a baby!

Thanks!

There’s a Baby Care room just off Main Street where you can privately feed/change/sit and rest. When we went, it had nursing chairs, changing stations and a microwave. You don’t need to go back to here each time you need to change though as there were changing stations in all the toilets that I went into in the parks.
There are buggy bays bays just outside of the rides where you can leave the buggy but from then on you will need to carry LO throughout the duration of the queue, which is where a baby carrier comes in handy! The baby carrier is also useful for walk-through attractions like the treehouse in Adventureland, Aladdin’s Passage, Legends of the Wild West, Alice’s maze and Adventure Isle. If you’re worried about leaving your buggy, take a bike lock and pop it through the wheels.
As you know, there’s always so much going on at Disneyland so consider taking a black-out-blind or sun cover to block it all out when you want your LO to nap. We went into the park on our first day without anything like that and my DD just wouldn’t/couldn’t sleep and then got over-tired and screamed and grizzled for ages.
As you’ll only be a couple of weeks into weaning, I should imagine you’ll only be giving solids at one or two meals a day, so don’t bother taking baby food into the parks.
There are highchairs in restaurants and cafes but they aren’t really suitable for a 6mo. From experience, they normally let you bring a buggy in if you explain that your LO is too small for the highchairs.

We did Disneyland with a 6 month old and a 4 year old but it was eight years ago. I second the carrier, our 4 year old ended up using the buggy! The baby could be in the sling on a lot of the rides. Some of them were one year plus but were very gentle (seated in a carriage) so we just put the hood up and pretended he was one.

Food wise, you're in a good position because the baby will generally be content with breast milk and little bits of whatever you have at main meals. We found the buffets good. You could take a packet of baby breadsticks if you wanted a just in case snack. If you're not BLW then the pouches travel well.
