Paris in April

I am thinking of taking my two 12 year olds to Paris in April via Eurostar.

We would travel by Eurostar and could get an early train out and a late train back.

We could do a day trip or stay overnight in an Air BnB.

Can anyone recommend nice things to do/see? They're not really going to be into seeing art galleries/museums, though we will go to see the Eiffel Tower (don't know about going up? Is it worth it?). I think I am hoping to show them what the city looks/feels like, let them choose/buy food and use Euros etc.

Any ideas?!

A boat trip along the Seine is always fun.

Go to the observation deck at the Montparnasse Tower - stunning views, a lot cheaper than the Eiffel Tower and far less crowds.

I love a walk starting at the Arc de Triomphe, down the Champs Elysees to the Louvre and finish with a hot chocolate at Angelina. Touristy but really fun for first timers.

They might like the Centre Pompidou.

You could also check out a really fun hotel called the Lapin Blanc which is Alice in Wonderland themed.

These are great ideas, thank you! I'm on a tight budget, so particularly like the walking suggestions!

Also happy to use the Metro between places. I think I want us to be outside seeing things rather than in museums etc.

I'll look into the hotel and hot chocolate suggestions, thank you!

My kids really liked the Eiffel Tower (they were 13 and 8 at the time).

One slightly from left field is the Pantheon - it sounds a bit of a morbid visit idea as it’s where France buries all its top heroes in different fields. But it’s an amazing building as well, in a really beautiful part of the city. There’s a cool pendulum thing over a mirror in the middle of the building. We liked it anyway.
