3 nights in Bruges

Considering doing this in the summer, traveling via Eurostar. Would it be too boring for teenagers? They liked Amsterdam and Copenhagen, so would it have a similar feel?

I don't know Copenhagen but have been to Amsterdam and Bruges. Bruges has a much quainter and small town feel to it, though it can be incredibly busy. It's not a place I'd immediately think of for teenagers, so perhaps three nights would be too long. Antwerp has more of a buzz, Brussels is on a larger scale, while Ghent is just beautiful. Trips to both would be possible from Bruges if you wanted to be based there. Or perhaps just get the Eurostar to Brussels and do trips from there?

Ghent would be better. Bruges is lovely but it’s like a chocolate box place. Pretty but a bit sterile. And oh so touristy. Ghent is lovely, and a university town so a much livelier vibe.

How about The Hague as well if you’re not wedded to Belgium. Lots to see and do there

or Berlin?

My teenagers loved brugge

Chocolate museum

Mine loved it too - hired bikes and cycled around, interesting places to visit, waffles, boat trip, got the train to Knokke and the Seekuste tram along the coast getting off at different seaside places - De Haan, Ostend, etc. Great trip.

It's very pretty but a day or 2 is enough. Historium is interesting. Canal trip. De Haalve Maan brewery tour. I would add a day at the coast, or Ghent, or Ypres and do a organised battlefield tour. Antwerp is lovely - but more for bars and shopping. I prefer Ghent to Bruges as less touristy. But then I have been to Bruges many times. If coming on the Eurostar, Rotterdam is another good alternative. Some nice museums, markthal, buy a day ticket to get to the Hague, beaches etc.
