I have some annual leave and it's my 30th birthday, I want to take my daughter somewhere over the Easter holidays. it's our first break alone as DH usually comes. I was thinking of Italy as she loves Italian food , the culture. Paris or even Iceland. There's so much choice does anyone have any recommendations? She's quite low energy so doesn't like to be overwhelmed (hated Florida 🤣🤣 ) so a more chilled out pace will be required.

If your daughter doesn't like to be overwhelmed I would avoid the typical Italian tourist traps like Florence/Rome/Venice. Perhaps a smaller place like Bologna or even Sorrento would be a better option. Does she need much to entertain her? Bologna is more about the architecture, art and history but is also a very foodie place so that's good. Sorrento has a little more going on in it as it is on the coast.

Similar reasons, I'd avoid Paris but DH and I accidentally stumbled across Rouen a few years ago and it was beautiful. Lovely chilled place, much of the architectural beauty of Paris without the crowds. You can take nice boat trips on the river and visit pavement cafes.

That sounds brilliant , yes she likes to just potter around eat nice food and enjoy the scenery 90 year old stuck in a 9 year olds body 🤣🤣🤣 , we live rurally so she's not used to crowds.

Eurostar to Paris, or else to Bruges (change at Brussels). For Paris get a hop on hop off bus ticket, which gives you plenty of options as to what to visit and when, plus ease of travel. Book the Eiffel Tower ahead, so you don’t have to queue.

Amsterdam is quite small. Lovely museums and art galleries. Amazing pieces of famous art and Van Gogh (often studied at school) plus the trip along the canal is very relaxing and informative if you have the tour guide one and some you can hop on hop off. Lots of green spaces. You could also travel down to see the tulips. Airport was easy as not too big. Great cafes and restaurants.
Clog shop.

Just take care to keep out of a certain area.

We took DD5 and DS3 11 to Paris for a week and they loved it.

When I read the title I was thinking York. Amazing amount to do there.Castle Museum amazing. Yorvik, canal trip, walk around the walls, carriage ride with guide. Our kids loved York.

Rome will be extremely busy at Easter.

Stresa - Lake Maggiore. Easily doable from Milan. We went at Easter a few years ago and weather was mostly nice. Boat trips and lots of nice food. www.hlapalma.it/en/ This hotel is lovely. Lake pool won't be open but the little roof top should be.
