I haven't been to Paris in years but want to take my kids in spring. What area would you recommend? They want to go to the eiffel tower, the musee d'orsay, sacre coeur - also any other places 8 year olds would love?

The chocolate museum could be fun

Boat trip on the Seine definitely

There's actually an underground museum in the sewers which I think my 8 and 10 yr old would go for

Their science museum is on our list too

You'll love it even the métro is exciting. I planned a few riutex around town to make use of the RER too as the trains are double decker and something of a novelty!

And CREPES

Have an amazing time 😊

@Pleasepleasepleaseno I’m just looking for ideas for a trip with my 7 year old. Have you been yet, what would you recommend?!

Jardin d'Acclimation is lovely. You could spend hours there. Mini zoo, play park, water park, lakes, fairground attractions and rides (these can add up €).

My son loved the Catacombs, and the Tour Montparnasse (cheaper and more accessible than Tour Eiffel, plus the views include the latter).

Bateau Mouche to give legs a rest.

We found the Science museum pricey and not that interesting; many of the interactive things were broken and also not in English. There are more interesting museums out there.

Paris is relatively small, easy to get around and there's nearly always a metro nearby, so you can stay most places. The main attractions are fairly spread out, eg Arc de Triomphe nowhere near Sacre Coeur, so you'll be using public transport.

Opera area is super central but accordingly pricey.
