Trying to organise a holiday and have been offered a good deal direct with a campsite. Now looking at travel options and have tesco clubcard vouchers to use. Can only find eurotunnelas an option for this. Has anyone been on it? Is a ferry better?

I use Tesco club card vouchers for ferry (P&O). Usually cheaper and gives children a chance to run around

We always use Euro Tunnel to get to France. Its a lot quicker and you do not need to worry about the weather! (important in my life!!!!!) Didn't know you could use Tesco clubcard points for the ferry. Did know you can use them for Euro Tunnel!

Eurotunnel is a far more pleasant experience than the ferry iMO, and a fair bit quicker too.

I hate the ferry - I feel lousy on it.

Eurotunnel is very simple and over with quicker.

completely agree - Eurotunnel is the only option as far as we are concerned. Fast, not subject to weather issues, less chance of getting hit by striking lorry drivers etc!

No brainer as far as I am concerned.

Right will order vouchers for eurotunnel then! Thanks all.

Ferry is grim; rough seas usually. Takes ages. and doesn't land you in the heart of the city like Eurostar does. Eurostar is fast and easy.

well, before childeren I always used eurotunnel, you just drive in and out. I used to drive in the middle of the night and wanted to be as quick as possible.
Nowadays we usually arrive at the ferry around lunch time so we have our lunch on the ferry instead of having to stop somewhere. They often have a separate children's area where they can do some colouring. And it's on;y just over 1 hour I think.

My children prefer the ferry, but sometimes the speed of the tunnel works better. I have a feeling P&O aren't doing tesco deals any more.

Eurotunnel is fantastic but ferries are great to break the journey and allow little ones to burn off a bit of energy.......
