Centre Parcs is a Uk brand - in Europe they use Pierre et Vacances. Stayed with them in western France a few times and it was good. Properties are small though the site are great with fabulous facilities and lovely greenery etc all around .
Sorry can’t help with Belgium/Holland but be aware of different brand names they use.

Centerparcs is Centerparcs in Europe! Generally much cheaper than UK but accommodation is generally more basic. We've been to a few - De Kempervennen- with indoor ski slope, De Vossemeren, Eperheide, De Haan for seaside. Also look at Duinrell - normally better via their own website, but Eurocamp and Canvas cover it . And Landal.com which has some sites similar to CP and can have some nice quality accommodation. How old are the kids?

We've been to a few Eurocamps in France. I'd advise to book the accommodation you want through the site itself as the Eurocamps accommodation sometimes isn't as nice. We've also been to Centerparcs in France and more recently the Netherlands and have found the accomodation to be more basic than the UK but they are much cheaper so you might be able to afford to upgrade to VIP.

@Secondtimesally no - centreparcs is one of several brands that is owned by Pierre et vacances, they acquired it in 2001.

I do recommend looking at the main Pierre et vacances website, so many options and variations suitable for different people

We went to a Centreparcs near Saumur last year, and we're going back again this year - we really enjoyed it - much cheaper than the UK, better weather.

Kids can do a spa day, the buffet and restaurants were lovely. We spent about 2500EUR for a week including ferry and half-board at Centreparcs, in a really nice cabin (not basic at all - had a steamroom, BBQ, all the normal stuff), including bike rental and other bits and pieces.

Easy drive down from Cherbourg too. You will do better if you can speak a little french - reception had English, but things like booking in for our meals I had to scrape by in my school-level French (by the end of the week it had all come flooding back, but the start of the week there was a lot of gesticulating!)

Eurocamps I did as a kid, but I can't comment on how it is now.

Oh, if you do it, they over-feed you! So we've only taken one meal a day provided this time, and we'll shop for breakfast/lunch.

We had the fondue (all the kit/food delivered to your cabin) one day, and it must have been nearly 2kg of meat - way to much for an adult and 2 kids. Such a waste (but we couldn't have known at the time)

We went to de meinweg national park with Huttopia this summer & loved it. We were able to do a day trip to Cologne & came back via an overnight stay in Bruges. It was all considerably cheaper than eurocamp.

Friends rave about Hof van Saksen, which is owned by Landal Green Parks.

We went to the Netherlands and stayed in Roompot Hof Domburg - it was perfect

Thanks all for replies - kids are 6&11 and we will be visiting Efteling while there!
