Just as it says, thinking of going away with DD in 2023, she's currently 15 months.
Would like somewhere that has crèche/babysitting facilities so husband and I can can relax a little but with the aim being a family holiday still.

Where abouts? With that age, I probably wouldn’t do long haul.

What is your budget? An Ikos resort (in various Mediterranean locations, mainly Greece) is great with small children, but very £££. We have been twice. Can't / won't afford it now we are restricted to school holidays (£1k+ a night is not happening - it's nice but not that nice)

Grand Palladium in Dominican Republic do it ! We went in May with our 3 year old and 18 month old .

They have a nursury that was free for young kids . They also had an option of an evening babysitter . I didn’t use the babysitting services but the nursury was fantastic. The staff were incredible. We could drop the kids off for a few hours every day ( or all day) or even for one hour if you wanted. We used it for a couple every everyday and the kids loved it too. They have lots of activities for the kids and you can see the outdoor area of the nursury from the pool so I knew the kids were well cared for ! If you children can nap in strange places they have a sleeping room too !

Martinhal resorts in Portugal are pricey but worth it with kids - luxury resorts aimed at young families

P&O cruises have great kids clubs onboard their ships. They are open most of the days from 9am-10pm, kids over 4 can be left at the club without a parent for up to 3 hours each session. In the evening, babies under 4 can be left in the night nursery from 7pm-2am - it's a very secure, fully staffed area on the ship with cots and toddler beds. We've been on lots of cruises with P&O and my 2 love the kids clubs. It means we can go for dinner knowing they are safe and looked after having fun, or sleeping! It's also free Smile

Blue Waters in Antigua.

Borisisafecklesstoad · 26/12/2022 20:53

Most club med packages will have this

tedgran · 26/12/2022 20:54

Once went to the St Regis Mardeval resort in Mallorca with DD. Her DCS were about three and two. Very good kids club, very expensive!

bravelittletiger · 26/12/2022 20:58

Ikos Resorts. If you're looking for luxury I think you probably won't need to look much further!

ffsagain123 · 26/12/2022 21:12

Probably not long haul at this stage so Med Id say/Greece way. Won't be paying £1k a night lol but hadn't thought about cost... we are due a honeymoon and a big birthday holiday so I guess we can afford a decent amount. Planning late spring/summer before we pay for flights for her.

Martinhal in Portugal, mentioned by a PP or Sani in Greece. We went to Sani when DD was 4 and DS was 1 and it was brilliant.

Blue Waters in Antigua.

I don’t think blue waters have a crèche for really little ones. Did you mean Carlisle Bay? (They definitely do)

Gunpowder · 26/12/2022 23:06

Definitely Ikos. If you go out of school holidays it’s not so expensive.

ffsagain123 · 27/12/2022 06:46

Thanks all, hoping to travel as much as we can before we hit school age. Any tips for flying welcome with a little one!

So we have booked Sani in Sept, 2 bed suite full board, haven't managed to go earlier due to conflicting work projects and health of parents. DD will just have turned two.

Any of you that have been, anything we must do/ paces we should eat. She has allergies so I'm going to have to contact them anyway for info but have heard they are good.

Went to Sani once when dc were preschool age. It was amazing. Can’t afford it ever again. We got a very good last minute deal for full board and definitely felt like the poorest people there. We took lunch on the beach every day to avoid the kids having to behave themselves in a restaurant x3 a day. They deliver it to your lounger. It was bliss.

ffsagain123 · 28/05/2023 19:10

@Freezylap thanks for that, didn't know lunch could be brought out to lounger, I too can't really face three meals somewhere with a 2 year old even though she is good. We are staying in the Sani beach hotel. Can't wait, bar work in 2020 and 2023 I've not been abroad for a holiday since 2019!
