Cost if living who booking holidays

With the cost of living crisis I am wondering who is booking holidays for next year. I have looked at the prices for going to Spain next year and the prices have more than doubled since July. I am just wondering why this is. Is it because there is less availability because people have booked already. Or have they put prices up because their overheads are increasing? Who can afford these new prices? Do you think these new high prices for hols are here to stay? All very depressing as I can't afford these new prices.

We’ve booked one. Start of the summer holidays next year, week in Greece all inclusive for 6 cost £4600.

It’s a lot of money to us, but we’ve never taken our DC abroad before (they’ll be 9-16 when we go) so we’ve saved up very hard to afford it.

We know we’re very fortunate.

Feb half term, Canaries, been to the same place for the last 6 years (bar the Covid times). Can’t find all the figures but paying for Feb 2023 what we paid in Feb 2019. That did mean shopping around and keeping an eye on prices etc. but there are still deals to be had.

It hasn’t changed our plans. Not everyone is affected by the current situation in the UK.

We have 2 booked already for next year and will book at least another 1. For 2024 we already have one holiday booked and one tentatively booked (it will be booked but I’m waiting for one component to be released on sale).

I’m not going to compromise on travel, no matter what.

Where is that if you don't mind me asking?
