Disneyland Paris

I'm looking to book DLP for 2 adults and DD8. I haven't been to DLP before so I'm a complete amateur. For people who have been, how many days would you say is necessary to fit most (if not all) things in?

I was looking at 5 days but not sure if this is excessive. So far I've looked at flying out for 5 nights at Newport Bay in March with a half board meal plan ... I was nearly sick at the price!

Any suggestions or recommendations would be amazing and so helpful!

Join Disneyland Paris for Brits Facebook group - it has loads of info and people are very helpful

I think that is excessive tbh. 3/4 days is plenty.

It depends what you want to get from
It really. By that I mean what is DD8 into??? If she's into superheroes then the Marvel hotel is what you want. If she's more outdoorsy then book Davey Crocket as it's much cheaper but further away.
We've booked Newport Bay for December as my little ones will sleep on a night so we wanted a nice room to be in, they'll benefit from being closer to the park in distance and I love the idea that there's still a pool, etc in the hotel. BUT it's expensive. We've booked 3 nights but we won't be doing the big rides.
Personally I think 5 nights might be a bit too long - unless you're planning to also see Paris itself (but that seems an expensive way to do it).
We have paid for the meal package as with the £ being all over at least we know that's included.

There’s a high speed connection between CDG Terminal 2 and the Disneyland park gates which takes about 10 minutes. If you get an early morning flight you could be in the parks by the early afternoon. I’d stay for four nights.

2 nights, 3 days is plenty.

Agree 2 nights is plenty. Just came back earlier this week.

NB was a bit grim, in truth. Vast long corridors like the Overlook in the Shining. Decor rather tired. Breakfast was like feeding time at a low security prison with loads of children barely under control and mess not cleaned up. Food in the parks is vastly overpriced and of low quality, and the branded restaurants in the village are all variations on the same themes.

Obviously the children liked the parks, but even they grumbled a bit at the long and at times rowdy queues. The whole thing felt like a massively cynical exercise in monetising everything and, if I’m honest, my favourite part of the trip was stocking up on nice French things at the hypermarket on the way back!

Great advice here if you are flying in. Coming round the houses on the RER takes a fair while and sucks your energy. I'd do 3-4 nights if it your first time, but be prepared to be up early back late. We've not for 6 years but used to go all of the time with 4 kids and an annual pass. March should not be too bad for the queues, but they can be horrendous and the fastpass is your friend. Agree with a PP that there are some DLP facebook /websites that are worth having a look at. Also relevant how tall DD is to know what she will and will not be able to go on. Also whether she will want to meet / photo with the characters. There are loads of shops selling really expensive Disney costumes and tat (whirly lighting stuff), we dispensed with this being an expectation with ours because there were four of them and there was no way I was going to pay the prices, but you can get the same dress up stuff for a fraction of the price before you go. We used to stay at the Explorers Hotel, which is on the outer ring (the free buses go there) which suited us as we were a 6 and it had a children friendly pool and (very cold, but with a pirate ship etc.) and a soft play. A garage within 15 mins walking distance for snacks. Eating is expensive however you try and do it. ALL the moans aside though, it is "Disney well done" and it is a magical place for children and bloody good fun.

On previous trips we’ve stayed in Val d’Europe because on-site Disneyland Paris hotels were too expensive. However for our most recent trip I noticed that hotels.com had Newport Bay, Hotel Cheyenne, and Disneyland Hotel all significantly cheaper.

I think 3 days would be good. We just did 2 days during October half-term and honestly that was enough for me! Itn was a manic 2 days, we went on literally every ride, with the exception of Dumbo, saw 3 shows and watched 2 parades. We didn't have time though to queue for any characters, bar Darth Vader and Spiderman, and we didn't eat in any of the sit down table service restaurants. We did a 12 hour visit the first day and 14+ hours on the second day. Three days would definitely allow you more time to slow down. Early magic hours are the best. We were in the city for a few days before heading out to Disney and so stayed in Val d' Europe the night before and after our park days. Overnighting at Sequoia lodge for 1 night. The hotels there are nicer and cheaper than Sequoia lodge for sure. I found the packages were all 2 days/1 night or 3 days/2 night and the hotels are a ridiculous price to stay in before and after park visits.

We did 5 nights with DS when he was 3 and it was perfect. We didn’t miss a single thing we wanted to do and we felt ready to leave by the end.

You could whizz through it all much more quickly but we really liked being able to spend whole mornings going on the same ride again and again because that’s what he wanted to do or having leisurely lunches etc. We didn’t ever feel the need to rush, which was nice.

I suppose we had the benefit of much lower prices because he was at preschool so we weren’t bound by school holidays. So the price would also be a big factor in whether the extra time would be worth it.

Hi, does anyone one mind sharing how much on average for a family of 4 for 2/3 days at Disneyland Paris. Thanks
