BA business

Inspired by another thread on here about how poor BA economy is these days. Is this true of business too? If so, which airlines do you guys prefer for business?

From my research I thought BA business was good but interested to hear recent experiences

Just to mention Air France Business is excellent. Flown BA Buis, Virgin Upp and Sri Lankan and Air France tops them all ......but Virgins lounge at Heathrow is wonderful. Shame Virgin they have closed the SPA and now have peloton bikes 🙄....but still so much nicer than the BA lounge.

I’d always go Air France over BA business if it’s possible. The lounge in Paris is better than the BA one in T5 and the short connection and frequency of flights between London and Paris means it’s pretty hassle free and if you miss your connection on the way back the next flight is never so long to wait for.

I won't fly Air France. It's not just the safety record to date; it's current safety culture, which is notorious - link is in French but, basically, in the last few months alone, 2 pilots had a punch-up in the cockpit, another crew forgot to start the 2nd engine, and pre-landing procedures were dangerously cocked-up. This is a repeat pattern.

Like all European airlines, they are very safe, but they aren't as safe as some of their competitors

I can’t read the full article as it’s subscribers only but agree the teaser is concerning. Before my next trip will have to do some more digging. Did the full article explain what actions they are taking or if AF are doing anything about it at all

There are various enquiries going on @TerryIsAllGold . There's an external one at the moment into the 2009 Airbus crash, and various internal ones. But the culture never seems to change.

Air travel is incredibly safe, of course. You're much more likely to be killed en route to the airport than flying Air France. But I wouldn't go out of my way to fly Air France, if I had a choice, no matter how swanky their business lounge is.
