Covid requirements for flying

Hi all. We're travelling to Spain in a few weeks. First time abroad / on a plane since covid.

I'm wondering if anybody could clarify what is required as I'm getting in a muddle.

EasyJet says "must have been inoculated with their last dose of vaccine at least 24 days and at most 270 days before departure. After that a booster dose is required."

I've had my two initial jabs, and then I had a booster dose. Booster dose was 9 months and 19 days ago.

Do I need a further booster dose? Or is there no expiry on the booster dose?

I think if you’ve had a booster dose you are fine no matter how long ago it was. That was the case in the summer and I don’t think it’s changed.

Perfect, thank you

Are those specific Spanish requirements? I haven't been asked for any covid related info for some months now, although haven't been to Spain recently.

Ive had all 3 jabs. I've just come back from Spain (Balearics) and had all 3 QR codes printed out/downloaded but no-one asked for them or looked at them.

Have them just in case. I'm sure there was an update the their entry requirement recently.

Thanks all.

Yes, I can see information online suggesting they have scrapped requirements, but I would rather be safe than sorry.

I have the app and will print the covid certs as well. Thankfully doesn't look like we need another booster before we go! That was my main worry.

No they haven't scrapped requirements, they have scrapped the form that you needed to fill out if not fully vaccinated. You still need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test if asked for.

Proof of vaccination may be asked for - booster has no expiry currently

If not fully vaccinated/unvaccinated an LFT or PCR test can be done instead

Download to your phone wallet as well.

I’m in Spain just now. Flew into Malaga Airport on Monday. No Covid-related checks at all, but there were staff in arrivals who looked as if they were ready to do random checks on anyone who maybe didn’t look well. I didn’t see anyone get checked though, and no one asked for my proof of vaccination, which I had all ready on my phone. And yes, as pp said, if you’ve had your booster then there’s no time limit on that.

So much easier than the last twice I’ve flown, in September last year and February this year. Just felt like back to normal.

Be aware that you need to wear a mask in pharmacies and on public transport.
