Hi, we are traveling to the US for 6 days at the end of October. I'm fully vacc, although last booster was last year. Dd7 is not, her dad and I can't agree. I've been looking online and it says we may need to show evidence we've booked a test 3 to 5 days after arriving there. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Children 17 and under are exempt from the vaccination requirement. It’s unlikely that as my such evidence will be at all asked for.

There is up to date info on the Foreign Office travel website re the US. You may have to sign an attestation form on your child’s behalf

(Both of you need an ESTA in order to enter the USA if you are both British citizens).

What Attila said: look at www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/usa/entry-requirements

Children under 18 travelling with parents who are fully vaccinated (classed as 2 full doses) don’t need to be vaccinated, but you will complete an “attestation form” saying you’ll test them (lateral flow is fine) between days 3 and 5. You can take test kits with you and don’t need to have them booked

i don’t know anyone who has been asked to prove they did the tests (and I’m a few US holiday groups). We took photos of ours just in case
