Just got a European city break in November left and will have finished going away for this year, unless we do a couple of cheap weekend premier inns in the uk as well. Anyone else?

Looking forward to planning next year’s trips after that!

Had 5 abroad holidays, was hoping for October half term too but xh is taking the dc instead, still hopeful for a last minute at Christmas though. Just booked 4 nights in Paris for Easter, then will just book some last minutes as and when work and money allows!

And I would suggest people who are gonna get pissed off with people choosing how to spend their own money don't look on the holiday board, it's quite clear what it's going to be about!

Georgyporky · 09/09/2022 18:24

Danube river cruise in October. Quite pricey, & rather annoyed that we're flying with Ryan Air ! But I suppose it'd be even pricier with a better airline.
Did M O'L ever introduce the threatened charge for using the loo?

A week over Xmas in Madeira; been twice before & love the island.

MrsU2022 · 09/09/2022 18:31

I've got no more holiday apart from bank hols until April...FML

TheBirdintheCave · 09/09/2022 18:33

We went to Bologna in June and are going to Granada next week but then thats it for us this year :) Not sure if we'll get to go away next year as we're trying for our second baby so it might be home travels only in 2023 😭

StiggyZardust · 09/09/2022 18:34

No, off to New Zealand in a few weeks. Can't wait!

pumpkinpie01 · 09/09/2022 18:36

I have just got back from
Budapest with my dd loved it , can't afford abroad again this year but I did start looking at Turkey for June . Been camping 3 times this Summer , most I've ever been in a year , really enjoyed it 😀

Alltheholidays · 09/09/2022 20:17

Loving all your plans, and good to see people have still got lots to forward to this year.

just browsing Ryanair flights for next June. Easyjet don’t seem to have released theirs yet.

Two done (Caribbean and a trip back to the UK). One to go - but that’s just to the next state for a wedding but that still counts in my book.

Already got Antarctica and Finland booked for next year and also Hawaii for 2024.

RitzyTitzy · 10/09/2022 07:03

We've had a few uk mini breaks this year and twice to Italy. Summer holidays in France. We still have canaries in Oct and then center parcs just after Christmas. Next year is going to be a much more low key affair!

speakingofart · 10/09/2022 07:07

Nope! Go to Menorca next friday, then Brussels in November, then Edinburgh for a week in December. Very excited!

MinnieMountain · 10/09/2022 07:19

We’re going to the Peak District for October half term.
I’d like to go somewhere between Christmas and New Year as both DH and I have compulsory a/l but can’t think where to go.

Lifeisrelentless · 10/09/2022 08:12

I feel mine are a lot less extravagant than everyone else’s haha we haven’t been away this year so far, next week going for 4 nights in Cornwall (just hope the rain holds off!) and then 4 nights at center parcs in December :)

ToffeeEl · 09/09/2022 16:15

We're booking a last minute trip for mid October, but struggling to pick a destination in Europe that's still going to be very warm (if not hot)

Any recommendations throw them at me!

Cyprus is good in October, as are the Canaries. We are looking at Rhodes for the end of the month which is potentially a couple of degrees cooler on average but it’s coming down to budget. Some deals to be had in Turkey but DH doesn’t fancy it.

Aposterhasnoname · 10/09/2022 08:24

Sat in the airport as we speak. Tenerife here we come.

Oblomov22 · 10/09/2022 08:32

Practically finished for the year here, going to Dorset next weekend with the girls, after dropping DS1 at university.

We (4) went to Majorca for all-inclusive £1k Week at Easter, bargain! Been to our caravan in Dorset 3 times, both may b/h's and week in August. Went for a long weekend to Tallinn Estonia with my mum last week. Now done.

Got nothing booked for next year other than our caravan in Dorset for the same dates. Feel a bit like I need one other thing......

Nw22 · 10/09/2022 08:41

We only have uk breaks left this year. A week in Cornwall, and 2 long weekends in Pembrokeshire and the cotswolds.

MaryShelley1818 · 10/09/2022 14:02

We've been to Disneyland Paris for a week in May, and just back from 10 days in Spain 🇪🇸
Going to have a night away in October half term in the UK and that's us done for the year.

Next year we have abroad booked for May/July/August and November. Going to Paris, Belgium and Holland. Might do Alton Towers at Easter if our littlest reaches 90cm to do the toddler rides.

Alltheholidays · 10/09/2022 16:33

@EnglishGirlApproximately Sounds wonderful. Enjoy!

We are off to Puerto Pollensa at the end of September .

Have holidays booked already for next year, including a UK weekend with my friend rebooked from August when I had Covid .

I wonder why some airlines release flights earlier than others ? We have Jet2 flights booked for next September.

Alltheholidays · 10/09/2022 20:28

@shinynewapple22 Enjoy Majorca. Is the weather still decent at the end of September?
I’ve been in May, July and august, but never that late?
Doing some research for next year😀
looking at Kefelonia for next June and wondering whether to book a package, or wait till easyjet release flights and do flight and apartment with Booking.com.
Seen some decent prices for jet 2.

We only got a weekend in the New Forest and a long weekend with friends at Centre Parcs. However next year we have a week in Tenerife booked to celebrate the end of both kids exams (GCSE and ALevel).

We don't spend a lot on holidays tbh and wanted to save for a 'big one' next year - yes it is only a week but we are going 5 star.
