Gatwick / milk for toddler

Flying out of Gatwick north terminal on an early morning flight next week, does anyone know if the boots or WH Smith’s sell whole milk? Doesn’t look like it’s something which I’d be allowed to take through security but am going to have a grumpy sleep-deprived toddler so don’t want to drag them around shops searching if at all possible!

No idea but I think you can just get a cup of cold milk at Starbucks or Pret or other coffee shops.

This is what we do when DD was in her milk phase as we also needed an urgent shot of caffein.

We even asked once to pour it into a Chilly style bottle, just ensure you clean it properly afterwards.

Yes, last time I took my baby through Gatwick (about 6 months ago), WH Smith had a few pints of milk near the sandwiches.

They will let you take milk through security for a toddler. It will just get scanned separately. I was always able to take milk for babies.

Great, thanks so much for the replies! Fingers crossed I can get some through security and if not coffee shops a great shout!

Bring an insulated water bottle to pour it into (either from a carton or a coffee shop cup), it'll last a little longer that way

We only had it with pre-made toddler milk bottles, not fresh cow milk in a sippy cup/insulated bottle. That was treated like any other liquid.

I flew recently from Gatwick and my toddler's bottle with regular milk in (not formula) was allowed through. They put it through a special machine to scan but no problems at all.
