What is Boston like now?

I used to go to Boston many years ago and am thinking of going again this Fall. When I went to New York a few years' ago, I was shocked by how much prices had gone up. For example, a standard breakfast was coming in at $40 and lunch at over $100 for 4 of us. Naturally, prices will have gone up over the years, but have prices in Boston gone up drastically too? Does anyone know of a reasonably priced Airbnb or hotel in Boston if we do decide to go there?

You do know the exchange rate is crap, don’t you? Of course it’s expensive. You know the deal is add tax and then double the tax for a tip for meals. This adds a lot and Boston is not cheap.

Family have just done a trip to Boston this summer. It was pricey - hotels were more expensive than NYC. Exchange rates mean it will be even more if you are coming from the UK/Europe.

Holiday Inn Express Quincy is a reasonable price and directly on the metro line. Brand new hotel.

@TizerorFizz I do realise the exchange rate is crap. I asked the question as I didn't know whether Boston was comparable to NYC with regards to prices having gone sky-high

i was in boston in may, stayed in a hampton inn in the seaport district, right beside a 2 different bus stop that took you to boston south station - it was a good hotel and included breakfast
price wise it was similar to New York which was expensive, the exchange rate being shit and prices going up due to covid, i tried to eat cheaply where possible

It is similar in price to NY. As in most cities you have to search out value places. However with tax and tips, the cost will be substantial. Look for apartment hotel with kitchenette?

This tone is unnecessary. As is my post
