Family holiday near Bordeaux

Does anyone have any recommendations for a family friendly holiday near Bordeaux for September? We have 3 children (age 2 to 7) and we just really need a simple holiday! A week with a pool and food readily available or provided. We are considering Centre Parcs Les Landes de Gascogne but are worried we may double the price of the holiday by eating in the restaurants daily or shopping in the on site supermarket, so any thoughts on this would be great too.
We are trying to do without car hire, driving to shops/restaurants is not what we want, so either a small resort with restaurant options, or an all inclusive to compare prices to going more basic at centre parks.
Basically, anywhere with a pool and food would be great!!

We’ve stayed at a few good campsites near Bordeaux. Domaine de La Rive is probably the best in the area. Massive pool complex and easily enough to do onsite to fill a week. Also there’s probably enough eating options that you wouldn’t have to eat at the same place twice!

Thank you, I will check that out!

Umm, you know about the fires right?

They seem to close for the season on September 4th which is too early for us sadly. Looks great though!

I did not, I do now. Thanks! Hopefully there would be some rain before the end of September but will have to keep an eye on things

Les Mathes is very nice. Just north of Bordeaux.

There is a Club Med resort at La Palmyre that looks very nice.

Arcachon is nice. And you must climb La Plus Grande Dune d'Europe in Pilat.

Cap Ferret (the costal peninsula near Bordeaux) is absolutely lovely. Gorgeous sandy beaches, chilled, good for families, nice restaurants and boat trips. Nearby is Europe's largest sand dune (it's unbelievable!) would definitely recommend

We had visitors from that region recently. They said the fires have destroyed a number of the big campsites in the areas between the forests and the sand dunes.
They had to fly through Schiphol not Paris to get to here (Scotland) from Bordeaux, as the French government are limiting domestic flights, so check your travel options.
