Hi
Travelling to Billund Denmark at the end of the month. Only going for 5 days and staying in a self catering apartment in Lalandia. Have looked at the menus at Legoland and Lalandia and prices are expensive!! Happy to buy one meal out a day but not all 3! Planning on taking cereal, choc pancakes, crumpets etc for breakfasts and will just buy milk when I arrive. Was thinking of taking a bag of pasta, tin of sweetcorn, baked beans, jar of pesto or carbonara to make some quick easy meals BUT will they be classed as liquid and therefore need to be under 100ml??
We only have hand luggage and won't need many clothes for that length of time...would rather take food to keep costs down a bit but don't want it to be taken away at airport security thank you for any advice

It's not a practical solution all the tinned items will be taken off you as they are classed as liquid it's now illegal to take dairy and meat products into eu countries.
You might be ok with cereals etc.
Better to shop while you are there

Sweetcorn is in water, so that needs to be under 100ml, pesto and carbonate sauce and baked beans are all going to be liquids.

Can you not just buy things in supermarkets? This seems like a lot of faff. There may also be customs restrictions, although that’s more likely to be fresh fruit and veg.

Those will be classed as liquids. Might end up costing an extra tenner compared to shopping at home, but can't you just do a basic food shop when you get there? Those items are basic staples all over Europe.

All those things will be subject to the liquids rule

Thanks everyone I did think they would be liquids....think I will stick with taking snacks and breakfast items and buying the rest there. 2 teens who eat constantly so think snacks are the way to go!!

Just buy things in a supermarket there! Yes Denmark is a relatively expensive destination, but going round supermarkets is a great way to get a sense of a country’s culture, and to try new food. Apart from anything else, even if you had checked luggage and could bring jars of pasta sauce, what if the glass breaks and your clothes are ruined?

Please tell me I'm not the only person who knows not to pack ANY type of liquid next to clothes, without wrapping it first?

Do you not put your shampoo bottles, for example, in a plastic bag or other waterproof packaging before adding them to a suitcase?
