What is the etiquette for a la carte?

My DH and I are on holiday in a fabulous 5* hotel in Greece. We usually go Eurocamp or rent an AirBnB, so I am not sure what the done thing is.
We have all inclusive which is fine for breakfast, lunch and normal dinner but tonight we have an an all inclusive a la carte meal booked in the hotel restaurant.
So my question is what do we order? Can we have soup followed by a cold starter and then a hot starter? (The food is amazing and I would like to have/try everything) Or will they think cheeky and judge us forever more!!!!!
Other than this slight anxiety I am a big fan of all inclusive!!!!

Have you never been to a restaurant before? You are asking quite odd questions. A la carte doesn't mean order everything on the menu and eat as much as you like! That's what you've been getting in the all inclusive buffet! It mean it is cooked to order for you. Why would you think you can have more than a usual starter, main and pudding?!

😂 you would think wouldn't you but no I've been to many a restaurants both at home and abroad but I think the whole al la carte but it been free had me questioning myself. However, I shall be as well mannered and courteous as this place befits.

Hi Bedofwool would you mind telling me the name of the hotel please ? We are looking to book such a place in Greece at the moment and yours sounds ideal! Have a brilliant holiday and hope you enjoy your meal

It is an adults only (16 years and over) hotel in Rhodes. I can PM you the details if you are still interested. It is absolutely gorgeous, beautiful rooms, wonderful service and the beach is a 2min walk from the hotel pool!

Normally it's one starter, one main and one dessert per person but you don't pay the bill because it's part of your all inc. Also, you usually have to order drinks the same as they are on your all inc deal, so if branded drinks are an extra charge they will be in the restaurant too.

I’m the hungriest person I know 😂but even I think this is strange .
You’re asking can you order a soup , a hot starter and a cold starter ??? What the hell ??
How much do you normally eat ?
How many main courses ??

I absolutely love Rhodes and funny enough it is not the first time I been here. Last time was about 20 years ago and I did room only and lived on gyros and chips 🤣
Anyway, we had a lovely evening and they let us order a soup, warm starter, main meal and dessert. They didn’t bat an eyelid, thank god!!!!
