Best Neighbourhood in Copenhagen to Stay with Toddler?

All of Copenhagen looks to be super family friendly but is there one neighborhood that trumps the others? We'll be there for 4 or 5 days with a 15 month old.

Looking for somewhere near the attractions with lots of family friendly cafes (preferably ones with a play area or toys/books for LOs - my DS gets very bored waiting for food!). Food is pretty important - we love to eat out and want somewhere that will cater to LO (he's not fussy, just a typical toddler 😊). Good transport links a must too but again doesn't seem like a problem in Copenhagen.

Inner city looks great but prices are a bit steep and not a lot of available Air BnBs left now (last minute hol!).

As my username suggests I'm based in Copenhagen. I live in Nørrebro with two children - here are lots of nice playgrounds, cafés and parks. Used to be very working class/multicultural, now somewhat gentrified and hipsterlike :-) I'd explore Stefansgade, Jægersborggade, Rantzausgade, Blågårdsgade and go for a walk at Assistens Cemetery. Frederiksberg is also great with a more classic/wealthy vibe.

But I'd say you can't go wrong with Vesterbro or Østerbro either. Lots of child-centered/friendly cafés etc everywhere. And public transportation is great as well. Especially the metro makes it really easy to get around.

Enjoy your stay!

Thank you very much @danemum - I was considering Vesterbro as I had found a perfect available Air BnB there!

We stayed in Copenhagen during my Dh’s sabbatical. We didn’t find Vesterbro very family friendly; it seemed to be a bit of a nightlife hub or full of fine-dining restaurants. We were recommended Osterbro as it’s close to the city centre but much less crowded, and has plenty of family-friendly attractions within a short walk. Each evening our dc ran off some energy in Fælled Park or play in the Vandlegepladsen splash park. Most of the hotels fall into the mid-range price bracket.
