Travelling to Canary Islands - Covid pass

Hi all,

We are travelling to the Canary Islands on Sunday. I thought you just needed to have had your covid vaccinations but the airline have given us some extra information which says your last vaccination/booster must be within 270 days of travelling to be valid.

I've just for a bit of maths and my last booster was 294 days ago!!!

Has anyone been to the Canary Islands recently? Do they check your covid pass? Check the dates? Are they strict about it!

It's too late to try and get a booster.

I'm really stressing about this and would welcome any advice. Thanks.

I could be wrong (worth rereading the info) but I'm sure it's that you need to be less than 270 days from your 2nd vaccination OR had your booster. If you've had your booster then it doesn't matter how long since.
*We've just flown back from a month in Spain & OH had his covid app checked. He was more than 270 from both but they were happy enough that he'd had al 3 available jabs.

@Musicalmistress is correct.

We've both had our boosters!!! Phew. What a relief. Thanks so much for you're timely responses. You've saved the day!x

There's no expiry on the booster so the 270 days refers to the time period after the 2nd vaccine at which point you need a booster
