Anyone received a passport recently?

We're going on holiday this week and DB and family are meant to be joining next week. But they're waiting for passports for 2 members, applied at the start of July. There were no fast track appointments so just need to take their chance. Has anyone got one within 5 weeks?

I renewed three at the end of June and they arrived 9 days later.

Applied for me and DS at the same time.

Had to send mine to Hemel Hempstead for processing. Posted it Monday and received my new one today.

DS's had to go to Bootle. Sent at the same time as mine, but they only acknowledged receipt yesterday, so it's much slower. I don't know if the Bootle office is generally slower, or the checking of child passports is a longer process.

Incidentally the new passports are a horrible quality. Flimsy with blurred ink in places.

Did online, unfortunately first counter signatory never confirmed details so we changed it. Once changed it took a week till the passport arrived

Just an update. My passport is arriving today. So around 2 weeks from when I sent my old one off I will get my new one
