Can we get through stansted in an hour?

Going to Dublin Friday eve to visit family but can't leave home until 4pm. Flight is 6.30. Should be in Stansted car park by 5. We aren't taking bags on hold and we've booked fast track security: I'm going to struggle to leave work earlier 🙈

I’ve done it before - though not recently. I made a big fuss and asked people if I could cut in front of them and the staff also helped get me through quicker. We made it.

Pay for the parking that is super close to the terminal. Good luck!

I saw someone do this when we were flying quite recently. Just made me think ‘and why do you think it’s an emergency that you didn’t plan for a flight you KNEW was happening.’

I would say it’s definitely not enough time. And if you’re already questioning if it’s enough time then you’re obviously doubting it. See if you can take the afternoon as annual leave or offer more time another day or something. To be honest if I’m flying I try to organise this type of thing before the week of.

@OchonAgusOchonOh It's still part of the common travel area meaning it's a domestic flight.

That doesn't make it a domestic flight, any more than a flight between Germany and Italy would be a domestic flight.

Not enough time for food, we’ll grab a Pret to take on, but we made it 👍 Airport is busy and fast track security slow (considering the word fast track 😂) but still 👍

But you still have to go through the same security area as everyone else wherever you're going and that's where all the hold ups are, plus having to walk miles to some of the gates.
