Disney Paris premier access - Help! Also do I take with me or hire a buggy?

Hi,

3 adults, a 12 year old and a 3 year old going to Disney Paris on Wednesday, unfortunately not staying in a Disney Hotel.

We have tickets for both parks on Thursday and Friday.

Really torn on what to do regarding access passes. I really don’t fancy queuing for ages with a 3 year old in unbearable heat. Do we go for the premier access ultimate passes for 1 day, are they worth it? I know you can only use it on each ride once, but at least we’d definitely get to do them with this pass without huge queues?

Or are we better paying as we go and using the premier access once passes? I don’t understand the time slots though, are you given an EXACT time you have to come back? What if we are on another ride at that time?!!

Regarding a buggy, are they easy enough to hire? We would prefer not to take one as we didn’t want hold luggage. Toddler is a decent walker and we will take reins but under absolutely no illusion that we will need a buggy in the park for the full day.

Following as I’d also like to know this. I’ve never done passes before so don’t understand how they work.

Each slot is one hour long, so it would be pretty hard to completely miss it. You’re usually given a choice of more than one slot, so obviously choose one that you know will work for your schedule.
Considering that you don’t have early access to the parks and you probably won’t be able to stay late with a 3yo, don’t bother with Ultimate. It’s only valid for a day and without Extra Magic or staying late, you’d be unlikely able to do all 12 attractions in that time (with some rides you still have to queue, just not as long as standby line). Riding all 12 attractions takes quite a bit of zig-zagging and hopping across the two parks. Your time slots won’t be convenient location-wise!
I think you’ll have to be prepared to buy a few Premier Access One passes, considering the time of year and that you don’t have Extra Magic. It won’t be too bad if you get there as soon as it opens to the public, start at the back and work forward, and eat at off-peak times (or, even better, take your own food and eat it whilst queuing). As the park gets busy, intersperse rides with non-queue attractions (Pirates Beach, Pocahontas Indian Village, Adventure Isle etc…) You have of course the parades and shows to plan around. If your hotel isn’t too far away, I’d be tempted to head back to your room in the early afternoon when the sun is hottest and then stay later in the evening. You’ll be able to do more as the crowds start leaving and it gets cooler.

Buggy is more like a converted shopping trolley, doesn’t decline and has a fixed hood. €25 a day.

Take something that reclines so your LO can sleep.

Sorry I didn’t have time to explain about buggy hire. I’ve hired a buggy once and would never again! The queues for it can be long in the mornings and obviously they don’t have an unlimited supply either, so you can’t guarantee you’ll get one in peak times. If you’re going to park hop, you’ll have to pay a heavy deposit on top of the hire fee.
They’re hardly the most comfortable - a basic metal frame construction and hard wheels. They don’t recline, don’t have much storage and are hard to manoeuvre.
You'll also need to be careful where you leave it outside attractions, as it can be easy for other guests to mistakenly take yours. Either leaving an item of clothing in the pushchair or (more advisable) using a small bicycle or pushchair lock or other security device is strongly recommended.

36 degree Paris on Wed.
Take lots of sun cream. And maybe a hat or cap.

You can normally take 2 baby items free with a child's plane ticket so you won't pay extra for the buggy. Take your own.

Definitely take your own buggy, tie ribbons all over the handles to make it district and decrease chance someone will chance it and walk away with it, and don't leave anything valuable on the buggy whilst on rides.
