Toddler travel bed

Hi, going to Bordeaux in August and the accommodation we have booked can't provide a cot. I'm looking for a travel bed for DD who will just have turned 3 - need something that will fit easily into a suitcase with plenty of room to spare. I was looking at ReadyBeds on Amazon which look ideal but they seem to get very mixed reviews. Anyone any experience of using them or similar and can make recommendations? Thanks!

I used one of these a lot when mine were toddlers

Would you not put her in your bed? Any travel bed will be practically on the floor not something any of mine would have been comfortable with.

Or can the accommodation provide a camp bed?

We've just bought a Stokke Cloudsleeper. Haven't tried it yet but it is a nice small package!

Thanks! Having her in our bed is not an option - none of us would sleep. The accommodation have said they can't do a cot but have messaged to ask about a camp bed.

Thanks for the suggestions of other beds also - will take a look at them!

Have you looked at Readybed? They pack small; are light and comfy (my 6 year old loves hers!). There is a smaller one (maybe Junior Ready bed?) for preschoolers. Built in duvet and pillow and easily washable.

Sorry just reread your original post and saw you mentioned Readybed!! My DD has had hers for a couple of years and it was originally recommended by another friend. Didn't realise they had mixed reviews! It's been great.

Can a 3yr old not sleep in a single bed?
ready beds are good but if she’s not used to sleeping in a bed the novelty doesn’t f being able to get out easily may not make for a good nights sleep. They can also be quite sweaty, I used to put a folded up mattress protector between the air bed and cover so it was less like sleeping on plastic.

I'd put them in a single bed, with a travel bed guard. The ready beds are polyester sweatfests!

Intex Kidz travel bed, you can buy it from Argos, Amazon, eBay etc. It's a small air bed, good quality and lasts longer than the Readybed. We have used ours quite a bit.

Thanks all. So I got onto the accommodation and they are able to provide a camp bed so will have that with maybe a guardrail. Thanks for all the suggestions - handy to know about the options as will hopefully be bringing her camping at some point in the future too!

Glad you've sorted. Just a quick comment on ready beds - if you have a child that moves in their sleep, they are incredibly noisy ! We found the Intex kids cot much better
