France covid declaration Ryanair

Has anyone flown to France with Ryanair recently? For uploading documents they are looking for a signed declaration re symptoms etc in previous 24 hours. But there is no reference to this on French embassy entry requirements only the vaccine cert and passenger locator form??

It could be their own requirements to board on their flights. Cruise ships have the same.

Is it the old declaration d'honneur? Not needed anymore but if they haven't updated, just search for the file, sign and upload it anyway

knottsberryfarm · 29/06/2022 20:42

Yes it's the honour declaration.
Thanks for reply

Sorry to jump on your thread knotts but did you get this sorted? I have checked in online already for my flight next week but it has a big read sentence across my boarding pass Saying “covid documents not uploaded”
I can’t upload anything yet as I’ve got a week to go but on the app on my phone how do I actually fill in the document and upload it?
I’ve got myself into a complete state over this so someone with experience would be great.
thank you.

Hi @beadyboo
We are just back from our trip. I can't see it now on the app but there was an option to add documentation. I did it before checking in and then when I had the boarding pass downloaded it had covid documents uploaded. You might need to go back a step to add the documents and then the boarding pass will update.

I uploaded photos of the vaccination certs and passenger locator forms. Didn't bother with the honor declaration. It was a bit tricky you have to add for each passenger separately. My first attempt I added everything to mine.

@beadyboo, breathe. You don’t need to upload anything.

The red sign is there but you don’t HAVE to upload anything. If France requires documentation, you can simply show it at the airport.

Disclaimer - I’ve flown with Ryanair dozens of time since the pandemic started. I’ve always had the red sentence saying ‘docs not uploaded’. It’s never been an issue, not once. You will be fine.

I flew to France and back with Ryanair (from Stansted) a couple of weeks ago. Didn’t upload anything, wasn’t asked for anything. I think technically you’re meant to show proof of vaccine (French border requirement) but I wasn’t asked for this at any point either.

DelisButAlsoCrime · 15/07/2022 20:29

(I was also 33 weeks pregnant, and DS was recovering from chicken pox and still covered in a (fully scabbed over) rash, and nobody was concerned at all about either of those things either!!)

Thanks everyone.
I’ve not flown for years and I’m taking the kids by myself this next week. I’m so scared of doing something wrong and missing flight - having no form / wrong form / not enough evidence of jabs/ not enough proof that their dad agrees they can fly (we’re still married he’s just not coming with us) and not being able to go, I’d worked myself into a right old pickle.
I shall breathe, pack my flip flops and calm down!

Cluckycluck · 17/07/2022 19:46

@beadyboo can I ask what proof you have that their dad agree they can fly? I'm flying in a few weeks and my DH isn't coming with us, I'd not even considered I'd need proof of his consent as we're married. First time abroad in nearly 15 years and first time with a child, and I'm just terrified of getting it all wrong somehow!

beadyboo · 17/07/2022 21:06

@Cluckycluck This is the issue. You need “something” if a minor is travelling alone or if there is shared custody. Guidance is pretty sketchy otherwise. I rang the airport and they just told me to check the gov.uk website 🙄
We are just going with a letter written and signed by DH containing kids names, DOB etc saying he consents to them travelling and a copy of his passport.
would never have bothered me earlier and I’ve travelled abroad several times without him before, without issue, but DH once got pulled at passport control in Europe for travelling with one of the kids without proof of my authority. Kids have his surname and they were on the way back to the uk but it was a pain.

@beadyboo Thanks!
