Taking food to France. Is it allowed?

Hoping to go to France next week. In the past we have always taken some food with us - milk for the journey and lots of walnuts and brazil nuts. Does anyone know whether this is still permitted since we have truly now left the EU? Any knowledge would be really appreciated.

Can you not Google it?

You can't bring meat or dairy products.
Everything else is OK.

Yes no meat or dairy. But honestly you can find this info online surely rather than ask for specifics here. Confused

We took cheese sandwiches with us at Easter and at May/June half term. I was prepared to dump them if we had to but nobody checked our car, we went via euro tunnel.

Car, train, plane?

You can bring what you want - question is what may happen if you are caught.

Worst case scenario they will take it off you. But we have walnuts here!

That is true for many, many, many MN posts.

Are you going to post this reply to all of them?

We went to Spain and were asked if we had any food. They then asked specifically about milk but didn't search. We were in campervan.

Thanks very much for your answers and apologies to those who suggested I just Google. I wanted to hear from people who had had recent experience of travelling to Europe. Once again, thank you.

You’re welcome, I did worry also because one of my dc can only eat a certain type of cheese. We also travel with ddog and she has to have wheat free dog food, so I ‘smuggled’ that in as well.

The thing is we are dual UK/EU nationals so travel most school holidays to see family, I’m sure at some point we may get caught out….
