Travelling with 3 kids

Hi!

Due to Covid we haven't travelled since 2019 and are hoping to go somewhere this summer 🙂

Well, in the meantime we got another addition to the family! Thing is, I don't really know what are the rules about travelling with 3 kids. I tried searching but it's not very clear. Maybe it depends with different airlines?

Right now we have 1 child under 2yo and 2 other young children. But by next year all 3 will be considered "children 2-11yo".

Hopefully DH will be able to travel with us, but what if he can't? Can I travel with the 3 kids alone? (Don't bother saying it's difficult/crazy/.... I know. I just want to know if I am able to)

Thanks!!

It’s fine. I found flying long haul easier as the only adult as staff help.
Car seats are a pita though- I’d plan car free transfers.

Thanks! Can I ask what airlines have you flown? :)

BA and Emirates, Quantas
also easyJet and Ryanair where there’s less support but shorter. It’s doable!

That's fantastic! Thank you :)

I saw an airline website that had some confusing wording and sounded like it was one child per adult!

I saw someone travelling once with a one year old in their own seat (airplane seat not a car seat) and a baby on her lap. I mean it was crazy and she really struggled to keep the one year olds seatbelt on but it was certainly allowed and she managed somehow 🤷‍♀️
