hire a youth hostel- some amazing buildings in wonderful locations- some cater, some don't- look for 'escape to...' on the yha site- we have been doing this with a group of families for years and everyone loves it.

sorry madlentileater, can you put the whole name of the website up for me?

Maybe we have the location you are looking for.

We rent out a little château and 5 gîtes in the Dordogne, France. The houses are situated in a very chield friendly monumental park with 2 heated pools and we can accommodate up to 48 persons.

Thankyou NF. Your property looks lovely. I've tried to email to all my friends to see what they think.
Is the location handy for getting around or do you have to be a driver?
Also,is the place itself child-friendly?

A car would be handy for sight seeing, although for instance the supermarket is in walking distance.

Chield friendly "things" in our park are:
Pools and pond are fenced.
The whole estate (11 acres) is walled.
Pools are heated.
Special baby/toddlers pool.
Free to use childrens bikes, go-kart, trampoline, play-ground, treehouse, toys, ping-pong, etc.
Twice a week free pony rides.
Cots and high chairs.
Kitchens equipped with micro-wave, kettle, dish-washer, blender, etc.
Baby-sitter service.
Free to use washing machines and dryers.
