So I separated from dh of 24yrs last year and so have booked a cruise for my dd11 and myself on our own. We go in around 8-9 weeks and I’ve just realised her passport has expired ffs. Tried to book an appointment for a fast track and it says there’s no appointments available. 😠😰😡 what now?

I've just renewed 2 child passports online. Both back within 3 weeks.

You can use passportwaitingtime website for useful information. It shows the average waiting time for each type of passport with the longest being 38 days on average (for childrens new passport).

Durham seems to have the biggest backlog/longest time with people waiting the 10weeks.

I sent mine off for children's passport to Bootle mid-April and it's just been printed. So will probably arrive spot on the 38 days as advised on that website.
