Budapest, Bucharest or Valencia for a long weekend?

Looking to get away somewhere weve not been for milestone anniversary weekend with DH. This is our current shortlist. Any experiences/ advice?

Other options potentially in the running:
Toulouse, France
Geneva, Switzerland - likely too expensive
Poprad, Slovakia - beautiful mountains, not sure what else

Cocktail fans maybe? Half the price of London.

The ruin bars in Budapest are
Cool

We did an evening river cruise that was good

Valencia makes a fabulous weekend break (as does Malaga). Great food, loads to see. Easy to get round. Paella…

not been to Budapest in 25 years …..but friends loved it recently.

Slovakia I’d save for a week away.

I have heard about those but as a teetotaler they failed to raise my estimation of the city. A lot of the praised, national dishes are also out of bounds for me. I have seen most of the world I desired to see and Hungary ranks firmly last on my list (or just above Oman).

We've chosen Valencia!
Any recommendations for what to do/see/eat etc in such a short visit?
