Skye, but for 1 year.

I went there on my honeymoon and didn't want to leave, but had children back home. So I promised myself (and my husband) that if at all possible we would spend a whole year there (in a croft), once we had retired. Unfortunately, now that time in our lives has arrived, the dream is impossible for various reasons.

If it can really only be for one month, then it must be:

Although it is possible to experience all the 4 seasons in one day on Skye, I really need to experience them to their full!

A month in St Ives in September. I would spend my time pootling around the galleries and shops, going for a swim in the sea, reading books, listening to the radio and having afternoon naps .

So many places I'd love to spend a month in - Italy doing an intensive language course, Paris - ditto, SE Asia travelling around, western US doing some more national parks and some long hikes, Japan, Greek island hopping ...
